As president of KNI Communications in Chicago, Sean Tenner has led various projects as a communications strategist and campaign specialist. He also has a history of involvement with multiple charitable nonprofits. Sean Tenner serves as chairman of the board for the Obama Legacy Initiative in the Chicago suburb of Naperville.
In addition to its efforts to improve access to healthy food, the Obama Legacy Initiative has sponsored a range of local events and community outreach projects. Its memorial flower bed for Army private Gunnar R. Hotchkin is one example.
The Obama Legacy Initiative erected this flower bed outside Woodridge Village Hall in Woodridge, Illinois, and dedicated it to Gunnar R. Hotchkin in a 2021 Memorial Day ceremony. A graduate of the area’s Hinsdale Central High School, Mr. Hotchkin died in the line of duty while deployed overseas in Afghanistan. He was a victim of a roadside improvised explosive device.
Local painter Rich Lo adorned the Hotchkin flower bed with uplifting images. Woodridge mayor Gina Cunningham-Picek christened it with an official proclamation during its dedication ceremony.
